Arjen is a GeoWorm, Data Scientist & Geo-Information Consultant with in depth knowledge of many fields like Data management, Information Management, Spatial Analytics, (Urban) Planning, Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering, Geology and Geohydrology.
He takes responsibility within the team, is passionate about the usage of Data and Information and likes to spread the usage of data driven decisions to create a pragmatic answer to bring a project or organisation a step forward. He has worked in different organisations and settings and always found it inspiring to learn new organisations and create new pragmatic solutions.
Arjen keeps up to date with the new development in GIS, Data management and Information Management, like Open Data, data collection tools, like drones and 3D-mapping. He is very committed to make safety a high priority in his day-to-day work.

- Creation of a map-based Warden system in case of emergencies/evacuation
- Contribute to several global working groups for GIS standards and implementations
- Focal Point Shell Abu Dhabi online GIS web-portal and IM library
- Non-Technical Risk (NTR) Analysis: Optimize workflows to capture NTR-risk in the field and develop methodology to keep them ever green
