Charles is an engineer with professional expertise in NGO development and civil society organizations with practical experience in the design and implementation of M&E systems (including related communication plans and activities) and working within several of the areas covered by various development engagements, such as conflict resolution, reconciliation, gender equality and empowerment, decentralization, public administration, public financial management, private sector development.
Charles has attracted the interest of some international Organizations to Nigeria through his expertise in NGO, project management and civil society organizations. Charles is the Nigeria liaison Officer of HELP International, Canada in Nigeria. HELP International, Canada has been one of the leading organizations in Canada in the areas of green technology development, recycling of wastes, forestry production and agricultural development. The Organization which trains graduates and university students from North America, Europe, Asia and Africa was attracted by Charles to Nigeria in 2012 to extend her services to Nigerian students by training them in Canada on green technology, with the commitment of covering all the local expenses for the interns in Canada including food, local transport, accommodation and some stipends.
In 2015, Charles attracted a French organization (World Creators’ Society, France) to Africa by working with an EU legislative expert and Professor of law from France, Prof. Alain SOULOUMIAC to make a city in Africa a World Capital For Music and Dance to compensate Africa for her contributions to the global world in the areas of music and dance haven discovered that Africa is the cradle of music and dance. The French Professor, who designed an internet platform called CREAFREE, to register, value, develop and promote all creations at world level through the CREAFREE website, visited Nigeria and held meetings with Nigeria stakeholders to choose Enugu, Nigeria as a world creation capital with the intention of attracting more than 10,000 foreign visitors and 400 leading artists from all over the world to Enugu, Nigeria on a yearly basis for a world music and dance awards. The first event is billed to take place in October, 2018 and Charles is currently the General Coordinator for Africa for this project.
In 2017, Charles was appointed as the Nigeria Country Representative by the Global Alliance On Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES, Canada) to represent GAATES at local, national, and international accessibility meetings, events, conferences, and/or seminars in promoting the GAATES mission and in the implementation of the UN Convention of Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Since his appointment, Charles has visited some disabled homes in Nigeria to identify their pressing needs and interact with them on how to assist them with some important accessible projects for persons with disabilities using the GAATES mission with implementation of the UN Convention of Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
