I am a supply chain management graduate from the Ross School of Business University of Michigan. I am interested in opportunities in the metals and mining and oil and gas sector projects. I have over 8 years of experience with Tata Steel as an operations manager and project manager.

My experience in operations management and MBA in operations equipped me to take up challenges to drive multiple performance improvement project across the organization and lead teams towards successful technological up-gradations. These achievements in the field of operations propelled me to specialize in the supply chain domain and learn about sales and operations planning, big data analytics, logistics and strategic sourcing. My decision to enroll at Ross School of Business was based on the exposure to action learning projects on various functional areas within supply chain.

My consulting engagements through my professional life motivates my interest in pursuing the role. I was engaged on a Network Design and Optimization project for Radial Inc. I created a Transportation and Inventory Optimization cost model which helps in deciding the optimal distribution network and inventory position for any client. This project resulted in 5-7% cost savings for an organizations total distribution costs. I am currently engaged in a Inventory Optimization project for Radial Inc where I have created an Inventory slotting model for their fulfillment centers which is targeted to achieve a 5-10% improvement in labor productivity.

My professional life has revolved around a significant number of process improvement projects. In one case, I collaborated with Boston Consulting group to reduce proprietary spend at Tata Steel by 8% which resulted in a saving of $10M. I also teamed up for an improvement project with Renoir Consulting to reduce project execution time by 4 weeks through value stream mapping, reduction of system inefficiencies in process times and introduction of advance procurement list to significantly bring down procurement lead times.

I have led a team of 17 members towards successful up-gradation of plant automation system and high-tension switch gear system. I aligned with digitization drive in Tata Steel where I established communication between machines and data servers using wireless systems to optimize operational control and improve productivity. These skills of process improvement, leadership, team building and in-depth analysis will help tackle key challenges.

I believe my experience and my education at Ross have built the necessary skill set to add value to this role. Thanks a lot for your time and consideration.
