  • Worked with CFO and CEO to obtain Board approval for $6.4B LPIC megaproject.
  • Floated, clarified, and led negotiations to reduce cost of bids by 12%, a critical factor for Board approval.
  • With CFO, negotiated $3.8B financing for LPIC project; participated in roadshows to multiple banks and credit agencies at a time when oil dipped below $30/bbl.
  • Earned a “Best Finance Project of the Year” (TXF News) and named Top 100 “Most Successful Dutch Expats” by Management Team Magazine, 2015.
  • Renegotiated 2 pipeline contracts (2x 300 km 32” and 14”) and avoided a 1 yr delay.
  • Repeatedly turned around large-scale operational issues, acting quickly to restore workplace stability, elevate employee confidence, improve quality and productivity, rebuild customer trust, revive sales and profitability.
  • Avoided 300% price increase by Omani Minister of Oil and Gas through extensive lobbying at highest levels.
  • Avoided shutdown of the Omani smelter by engaging with local community and advising the Omani government on how to respond.
  • Implemented Lean and Six Sigma methodologies increasing productivity 7% and sales 5%.
  • Upgraded/expanded the SA International School to an educational role model.
  • Co-founded, with CEOs of Vale and ORPIC, a highly respected Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative (Jusour) that generates programs valued at $10M per year.
