“Helping E&P Companies Translate Their Business Goals to Reality”.
PRIME UPSTREAM is a single person oil and gas consulting firm located in Katy, TX. I specialize in short term, ad hoc projects that help solve fluid handling issues; collaborate with a field development team to design an “urban plan”; review facilities projects or operations at the request of corporate management; review and assess potential acquisition candidates; investigate new technologies for the benefit of producers or new start ups; provide mentoring for existing staff; provide pre-fabricated equipment shop inspection and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
GENERAL
I have 37 years of upstream oil and gas exploration and production experience in facilities design and planning and in operations surveillance. 33 years with Shell; both onshore US and offshore GOM. Registered Professional Engineer (Mechanical-Louisiana)(LAPELS #28849 – Retired). Specializing in Managerial and Technical aspects of topsides (offshore) and surface (onshore) engineering, construction, and operations. I spent 15+ years working with exploration and know how to deal with uncertainty and quickly adapting to new data. My experience has been eclectic and has included disposal of N.O.R.M. contaminated waste, managing a Mariculture project offshore, installation of a small LNG plant to test exploration gas wells and Growth Ventures Manager (Intrepreneur) for add on offshore projects to lever existing assets and operations (i.e., offer processing capacity in lieu of greenfield fabrication, 19 other projects), Global Unconventional Surface Engineering Technology Advisor.
ONSHORE
I have been involved in most of the popular Unconventional plays in North America and several Conventional projects in primary, secondary and tertiary recovery mode. I have been involved in many acquisition projects; field scouting potential properties, assessing properties prior to offer, preparing resolution projects to bring assets into corporate spec , continuing projects in progress, begin the implementation of Shell’s development plan until a full project team could be assembled.
OFFSHORE
I have experience with Shelf, Deepwater and Subsea projects in the GOM; both Greenfield and Brownfield. In my twelve year assignment in New Orleans I installed and removed multiple, jackets, decks and pipelines. I also ran a project to slurry thousands of drums of N.O.R.M. contaminated tank and pipe cleanings and pumped them into an offshore well scheduled for P&A. I was the Project Manager, but also was trained to be and functioned as the Radiation Safety Officer.
