I am a Petrophysics Advisor with 33 years of active experience in the Oil Field. On June 8th 2015 I terminated my engagement with Schlumberger started on May 22nd 1982.
I worked as Petrophysics Advisor for Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Rio de Janeiro in the past 11 years. I was in charge of Drilling and Measurement Formation Evaluation Domain for Brazil Geomarket. (BRZ). I joined Schlumberger in 1982 as a field engineer and had several assignments in Brazil, Venezuela, Libya, Italy, France, Norway, UAE and Qatar. Early in my career, I became involved in the field-testing of several new wireline logging tools, acquisition systems and interpretation programs. Lately I devoted my efforts to LWD imaging tools.
My job responsibility was promoting and supporting new Logging While Drilling technologies with priority to the Geomarket but also contributing to the development and test of new worldwide answer products. During the past 11 years, I have been the focal point for all the Scope tools introduction offshore Brazil, setting new standards for both well placement and formation evaluation in highly deviated and horizontal holes. Brazil was the first location to redeem NMR applications while drilling. My duties included job planning, data acquisition and general technical sales needs of Oil Field Services while providing comprehensive data processing and integrated data analysis for reservoir characterization and optimization. I graduated in Politecnico di Torino, Italy with a MS degree in Electronics Engineering (110/110 & laudem).
I also acted as NExT instructor covering various courses related to Petrophysics. I have deep hands-on experience on Techlog and Geoframe systems, having contributed to development and testing of several answer products. After retiring, I taught four one week petrophysics courses and consulted on a pre-salt Petrophysical study offshore Brazil, which lasted one month.
