After having spent many years as a full-time Treasurer (my last role was as International Treasurer of a Canadian oil and gas company in London) I decided to use my experience to work as an independent Treasury consultant and interim Treasurer.

My main area of work since then has been helping newly-formed corporates which have been carved out of another group by private equity investors to set up and run a Treasury function. Not only do I provide advice, but I also step in as an interim Treasurer to ensure the company can hit the ground running. After several months I typically would then hand over to a full-time Treasurer who meanwhile would have been recruited, usually with my assistance.

I am very experienced in international cash management, including pooling and elimination of stranded cash. I have developed models to introduce and improve cash forecasting and have set up foreign exchange management programmes and strategies. I also have deep knowledge of debt management in a highly leveraged environment.

I have led Treasury teams of various sizes as well as inter-disciplinary teams and have strong project management capabilities.
