As an entrepreneur and engineer, Ranjit brings over 25 years of experience in the ICT sector and currently is a partner and a senior consultant for Skandiakonsult Sverige SE, a firm of consultants from Sweden serving Europe and the Middle East sector.

He has held technical leadership roles in the telecommunication sector and has been an adviser to regulators in the South Asian region. He has managed operations at the level of chief executive in organisations that have had over 50 employees, and is a highly analytical decision-maker with extensive experience in start-ups, Mobile Virtual Network Operators, Data Centres and re-engineering projects.

He is also an avid astronomer, and was mentored by Sir Arthur C Clarke who guided him to present a thesis on Time Dilation which in due course resulted in his being awarded a Fellowship from the Royal Astronomical Society – a learned society that began as the Astronomical Society of London in 1820 to support astronomical research. He just recently was offered Fellowship status to the Institute of Physics for his ‘an outstanding contribution to the profession’.
