I understand from first-hand experience how to create sensible management systems and effective quality programmes for organizations ranging from two-person start-ups to SMEs and blue chip multi-nationals. My strategic thinking is always tempered with pragmatism and flexibility. Above all, I view every assignment from the client’s unique perspective and work towards a solution that fits the existing business model and culture. The result must look and feel like “the way we work.”
An honours graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire (1985), I wrote my first quality manual and completed my first audit as an undergraduate on industrial placement at Metool. Quality has been in my blood ever since. I became a full member of the IQA (now CQI) in 1991 and have qualified as a lead auditor several times – most recently whilst leading the corporate Audit and Assurance function at Maersk in Copenhagen. Now a Chartered Quality Professional, CQI Membership Assessor and CQI Registered Consultant, my mission is to help organizations develop their management systems and quality programmes in the most cost-effective way: Collaborate, Integrate, Challenge, Improve!
